Seriously, this is the ultimate solution when you're craving pizza but don't have the time (or energy!) to deal with dough, long baking times, or delivery. It's crispy, cheesy, and comes together in just a few minutes. It’s basically your personal pizza hero for busy weeknights or a quick lunch. You get all that delicious pizza flavor on a perfect, crunchy slice of toast. What's not to love?

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices of bread: I love using thick-cut white bread or sourdough, but honestly, whatever you have works!
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce: Your favorite jarred sauce is perfect.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese: Low-moisture mozzarella is key for that perfect cheese pull.
  • Your favorite toppings (optional): Mini pepperoni, sliced black olives, a sprinkle of dried oregano... go wild!
  • A little olive oil or butter (optional): For an extra crispy crust.

Instructions
 

  • First up, preheat your air fryer to 375°F (about 190°C). This usually only takes a couple of minutes.
  • If you want extra-crispy toast, you can lightly brush one side of each bread slice with a bit of olive oil or melted butter. Totally optional, but it's a nice touch!
  • Place the bread slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You might have to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Toast them for about 2-3 minutes, just until they're lightly golden. This step is a game-changer... it prevents a soggy bottom!
  • Carefully take the basket out. Now for the fun part! Spread a layer of pizza sauce on each slice, sprinkle generously with mozzarella, and add any toppings your heart desires.
  • Pop the basket back into the air fryer and cook for another 3-5 minutes. You're looking for the cheese to be perfectly melted, bubbly, and just starting to brown. Keep an eye on it, as every air fryer is a little different!
  • And that's it! Let it cool for a minute (if you can wait!) before diving in. Enjoy that crunch!
